Hibernate in Style with Holistic Hygge

Autumn is here, which means hibernating in style and celebrating Holistic Hygge, with luxurious fabrics and feel good accessories.  The perfect way to sit out the impending winter months, Hygge (pronounced hoo-guh) is defined as “a quality of cosiness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being.”

Pack away your swimsuits and pop the self-tan back in the bathroom cabinet; those pale limbs can rest easy for a few months.  Instead, they'll be swathed in the softest of sweaters, furriest of blankets and most sumptuous of socks and we couldn’t be happier about it.

So basically, forget about going out to get your kicks, and stock up on hot chocolate, board games and candles, lots and lots of candles, instead.

While the elements rage outside we suggest having friends round for cosy one pot dinners, unwinding after work instead of getting dressed up to go out again, and (our favourite bit!) embracing all the wonderful little things, such as the sheer bliss of a steaming mug of mulled wine after coming in from the cold.

Your Holistic Hygge checklist:

  • It’s not Hygge unless you have at least five candles burning. Try our Deeply Relaxing Scented Candle for the ultimate in Hygge vibes
  • Treat your feet with our Massaging Slippers, perfect for slipping on to improve circulation after trudging home on wet pavements
  • Turn your Hygge up to 11 with our Hot Water Bottle, swathed in luxurious velvet with soothing scented lavender, this is no ordinary hot water bottle
  • Nourish your body, and your mind, with candle lit relaxing stretches on our decadent Yoga Rug Mat, while the rain pours outside

 Happy Holistic Hygge xx
